Axum ruler Sobh, eighth and most celebrated descendant of Gorta di Bussab, pledging fealty to Sovereign Mahnazrin of House Axum

From Book Eight of Kannes — Xcelon

During the reign of Grenes the Despised, House Axum leaders began to increasingly assert their authority over the fractured empire, and after the death of Grenes’ son Konfomo, House Axum began to secretly handpick each succeeding ruler whom they manipulated and at times commanded to act in their self-interest. This succession of kings is commonly called the Lesser House Dynasties.

Dynasty of Gorta di Bussab — Son of Mayga, a prominent Vala of House Axum and a member of The Rising. He was named king the day of Konfomo’s death.

Dynasty of Kazs— Eldest advisor to the last ruler of Bussab, who was elected king after a popular vote by House Axum leaders. The Sovereign Usulam cast the deciding vote for Kazs and against Asokulaki of Challis. The empire informally split and many Axumites defected to House Xyun after refusing to accept the legitimacy of Kazs’ rule.

Drunlos of Hostici

Dynasty of Drunlos — A Terran patron of House Axum, Drunlos joined House Axum to secure his succession to the throne.

Dynasty of Malorboha — Wife and heir of the last ruler of Drunlos who seceded him after his death. Malorboha threatened to reveal widespread corruption in House Axum when leaders plotted to remove her from power. She was later captured and imprisoned by a league of Axumite Selestiels.

Fiobas of Paltimex, Selestiel and Soverign of House Axum

Dynasty of Fiobas — A Selestiel from House Axum who seized the throne after Malorboha’s descendant Keenilsin’s capture. She used her power to invoke a series of controversial edicts that placed House Axum Selestiels over the ruling class at Nomo. During her reign a civil war erupted, that was later put down by House Axum leaders.

Anvitora was born on Terra and migrated to Ko at the age of 11.

Anvitora — A Terran born Axumite, Anvitora became ruler by deposing Fiobas after she lost the support of Sovereign Sethe of House Axum. Sethe had ruled Axum by proxy for many years, and was instrumental in putting down the uprisings during the reigns of Keenilsin and Fiobas. But Anvitora secretly hated him, and she used her authority to plot a military assault against corrupt House Axum leaders. Sovereign Sethe was captured and killed, and other Vala were imprisoned and replaced with those of popular reputation. Although her ascent was fraught with conflict, Anvitora is remembered for providing stability to the empire after initiating a series of edicts that allowed for greater freedoms and self-governance of planet states bordering Kamun and Elysia.

Masoluk — Seceded his mother at the age of 14. Viewed by many as an indulgent and incapable leader, during his reign Camapesin, a direct descendant of Sin the Great, would arise to retake the throne.
